The theory on the motor mount is that the mounts are vacuum controlled, and when you load the car up by turning and accelerating it is supposed to increase the stiffness of the mount. If the mount is failing, then it would basically have the motor sitting directly on the frame of the car and the vibration of the diesel would make an awful noise. E90 models utilize a runner profile style gasket for the intake manifold. Over time the gaskets harden from heat or they swell from oil contamination. If you have hard to find vacuum leak, replace your intake manifold gaskets. If you find oil inside your intake manifold, replace the crankcase breather valve. Clean the inside of intake manifold
These are my issue symptoms: -I've multiple codes of throttle switches malfunction but actually the accelerator pedal does nothing. -Power seats aren't working. -Right Hi/Lo Beams and front right turn signal aren't working, rear left turn signal isn't working but the hazards works, other turn signals works, brake and backup lights works
Figure 8 Now you can separate the front and rear sections of the driveshaft. Peel back the sealing boot (green arrow), then mark (yellow arrows) the orientation of the front and rear driveshaft. This will help with reassembly. Once marked, pull the driveshaft apart to separate. Figure 9 The center bearing can be replaced now.
Before the mounts were installed, my car was hit and totalled. My current daily is an E91 6MT RWD. The drivetrain was treated with new E30 trans mounts (thanks for the tip, feuer!), 034 Motorosports N54 engine mounts, Turner Al billet RSBs, and Turner Delrin diff mounts. The drivetrain is quicker to spool-up after reducing compliance.
E90 coolant leak. Please help! E90 2004 xi has a leak. The connector from the hose to the engine broke so the hose can not be held tight with a clamp. I tried using a hose clamp but the connector piece does not have enough left to support the clamp (see picture). I notice that the connector may be held to the engine by a couple of bolts.

The six speed is flywheel is different than the five speed. The six speed comes with the pilot bearing built in to it so, you would have to remove the pilot bearing from the engine when replacing the flywheel. Shift Lever. The stock e46 shift lever is too long and will cause the shift linkage to hit the transmission giubo.
When replacing the lines and reinstalling the brackets, you need to route the lines through the brackets, connect to the engine mount and then reinstall the brackets and engine mount bolts. Test your engine mounts while you are in there. They have to hold vacuum. This is a bit of work, but needed to carefully remove the old vacuum lines off the

I doubt that worn/soft rear subframe bushings could cause the symptoms of: 1Accelerating hard sometimes gives a torquey thump from the rear middle underside of car. 2Changing gear in low gears gives a rocking/clunky effect coming from middle rear underside of car. 3Disengaging the clutch pedal out quiclky when moving also gives clunky

Hey today i am showing how i installed my homemade upgraded motor mounts onto the 135i it should be the same for the 335i.
The reason why is a little complex to go into here, but suffice to say it improves the way air gets into the engine, and exhaust gets out. If something goes wrong the symptoms you describe would be like jumping a timing chain, or slipping a tooth with a timing belt. The idle could be rough and power would be reduced.
BMW are aware of this and have issued the following documentation: - BMW SI B61 08 11 View attachment BMW SI B61 08 11.pdf - BMW B61 08 11 Attachment View attachment B610811_Attachment.pdf This fault is a recall in the USA but not in the UK. After speaking with BMW they confirmed there are no recalls for my vehicle.
Seems normal. As mentioned, it's normal for voltage to fluctuate between 12-15v. If it goes outside this range, you have issues. These cars charge the battery when there minimal load on the motor. IE during coasting, deceleration, or any other light duty on the motor will raise voltage. If there is a large dump in the car or there is a large
My wife's car overheated and blew the head gasket due to a water pump failure, this is me learning how to fix a BMW while fixing it.
Here are some of the most common broken motor mount symptoms: Abnormal vibrations . The rubber or liquid-filled portion of the motor mount helps absorb vibrations from the engine. As such, when one or more motor mounts fail, vibrations from the engine may travel through the chassis and into the cabin of the vehicle.
